Kids delighted with laptop grant |
Posted by: Susan Einhorn |
A Christchurch primary school has won a rare grant to kit out nearly 80 children with new laptops. Merrin School Teacher Shane Barr applied to international digital company Ed Tech for a classroom\'s worth of laptops earlier this year. He beat off hundreds of other applicants from all over the world to win one of 12 grants. Mr Barr says in his application he told them his dream for a modern classroom, and how his students already have email addresses and do much of their learning on borrowed computers and devices. |
