Govt to start distribution of 1.2mn laptops to schools Friday |

The government is set to roll out a countrywide distribution of 1.2 million laptops and other electronic devices to public primary schools through the Digital Literacy Programme set to be launched this Friday. A statement from the Ministry of ICT points out that all Cabinet Secretaries and Principal Secretaries will lead the distribution of devices to the schools in different parts of the country over the next one month. The devices which include laptops for Teachers and tablets for pupils are fitted with KICD approved syllabus with the content for class 1 and 2 available in 5 subjects. |
