Hamilton's Southwell School has been awarded a $250,000 research contract by computer giant Toshiba. Headmaster Royce Helm said the school applied for the contract through Toshiba computers and was awarded it about two weeks ago. It wanted to use a school in New Zealand to put tablet computers into classrooms and research what kind of effect they had on the children's learning over a two-year period. |
