COMPUTING equipment worth £48,000 is to be made available to traveller children free of charge in Derby and Derbyshire. It is the latest phase in a Government programme to support gypsy and Roma children with their education. Under the new scheme, called electronic learning and mobility, traveller children will become eligible for laptops to use at home if they attend schools in the city or county. |
