61 Maine High Schools Sign Onto Laptop Program

AUGUSTA, Maine -- Preliminary state data indicates that 61 of Maine's 130 high schools and private academies will equip their students with Apple laptops under the state's Learning Technology Initiative.
Maine Education Department spokesman David Connerty-Marin said the department expects to place an order for 60,000 laptops and then order additional machines as more districts make their decisions. |
