The District 46 parent group came to the June 17 community forum with a list of questions they wanted the school board to address. Issues included technology purchases, funding for staff development and the district's association with the Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence program.
Parents said they were concerned the district was spending money it didn't have on new technology including $244,000 for 258 laptop computers for teachers and 38 electronic touchscreens called SMART boards, for classrooms. |
