This editorial is a response to the announcement that the Natrona County schools have decided to unblock social networking sites.
According to the Casper Star-Tribune editorial board, "There certainly is a risk that access to those sites will be a distraction for some students, if teachers don't properly monitor and regulate laptop use. But considering how pervasive social networking sites have become in today's society, and the fact they have legitimate educational applications, the district's move is a prudent one." |
