District 96 to expand take-home laptop policy

It won't be long before all the fifth-graders is Riverside School District 96 will be able to take their laptop computers home from school. At the start of the school year, all fifth-graders in District 96 were given their very own new Apple MacBook computers in the district's 1-to-1 laptop program.
In October 2009 the school board voted to allow the fifth-graders at Hollywood School in Brookfield to take their laptops home when permitted by their teacher as a pilot program. |
