THOUSANDS of poor children are now using FREE laptops thanks to a new government scheme. And figures seen by the News of the World show the Home Access initiative - launched two months ago to help 270,000 low-income families get computers - is now well ahead of schedule. So far 57,567 families have made successful applications and 18,349 homes are already up and running. |
