Primary pupils to be given laptops |
Posted by: Justina Spencer |
Up to 1,200 primary school children will be provided with laptops as part of a £700,000 pilot project. Ten and 11-year-olds in some of the poorest pockets of Wales will be included in the two-year scheme, a commitment of Labour and Plaid Cymru's One Wales coalition deal. A promise to give all 11-year-olds their own laptop for education was a key pledge in Plaid's 2007 election manifesto. |
