Writhlington School to Give All Students Free Laptops |
Posted by: Justina Spencer |
Writhlington School in Radstock is to become the first school in the UK to provide all of its pupils with laptops . The initiative is the result of the E-Learning@Writhlington scheme, and will see the school fund the cost of most of the computers, though parents will be invited to make voluntary contributions to help ensure the scheme is sustainable. Extensive trials were conducted by staff and pupils to determine the most suitable notebook PC, with consensus found on a Dell netbook . |
