Cooks May Lose 'One Laptop Per Child' Pilot Project

A procedural difference between the Cook Islands Education Ministry and Secretariat of the Pacific Community threatens the possibility of the country being among the first in the region to take part in the international “One Laptop Per Child” project. Cook Islands Secretary for Education John Herrmann said he put the project on hold since his ministry was never consulted by SPC, and he wanted an assessment on the sustainability and viability of the project. |
