India has developed a touchscreen tablet computer with an estimated retail price of $35, and possibly less. India Minister Kapil Sibal said the tablet is an answer to the One Laptop Per Child tablet, which has a $99 target price. India's tablet is solar powered and uses Linux and open-source software. An analyst said it could be a throwaway tablet. |
