Away from the high-tech classrooms and laboratories of the privileged upper-class and scholars of science-oriented government schools, public elementary pupils in the Philippines are dreaming of a better future and way of learning through the One Laptop per Child Program (OLPC). OLPC is a worldwide effort to bring economically sturdy laptops to the most unprivileged school children in every country, and the Philippines is one of the latest to join the program. |
