The Reidsville Area Foundation has approved giving $1,430,000 to Rockingham County Schools for their Mobile Learning Initiative. RCS Superintendent Rodney Shotwell announced the grant Wednesday during a press conference. The Reidsville Area Foundation is a non-profit organization which funds eligible organizations within Rockingham County. The Mobile Learning Initiative was developed after the schools received $1 million from the Golden LEAF Foundation on April 8. With the additional money from the Reidsville Area Foundation, the schools will be able to move forward with a program designed to provide every student with access to a laptop computer. |
