Salisbury students will live in laptop of luxury |

Students in the Salisbury Township School District will be greeted with a rare luxury when they head back to class this fall: an Apple MacBook they can call their own for the entire school year. Salisbury will become what is believed to be the first school district in the Lehigh Valley to issue laptops to students for use at school and at home as part of an arrangement with Apple. The district says the deal will save taxpayers at least $180,000 over the next four years. "We are excited about this and feel we're doing the right thing for our students to give them the access to information and skills they will need as they navigate their way in the world," said Louise Beauchemin, the assistant superintendent of schools. |
