The new year will usher in a new era for the St. Joseph School District, as a pilot program places take-home laptops in the hands of some students, the district said Wednesday. “Project Connect: Advancing Learning through Technology” will launch at Benton High School and Bode Middle School on Jan. 4 and 9, respectively. Later, in February, the pilot project will launch at Edison and Lindbergh elementary schools, impacting fourth-, fifth- and sixth-graders. “We’re excited about this because technology is essential to today’s classroom,” said Cheri Patterson, associate superintendent. |
