Technology shapes learning curve |

When Jeff Pfaffe started teaching science at A-C Central High School 27 years ago, he had to use Styrofoam balls to create a fairly crude representation of electron clouds to show students. Now he has a three-dimensional model YouTube video embedded in his textbook. This school year, because A-C Central School District purchased laptops for its seventh- through 12th-graders, Pfaffe made four of his own science textbooks electronically, pulling together chapters from an online site. The new books include hundreds of embedded videos. |
