One Sydney high school has made the radical step of taking what can be a crippling weight out of students' backpacks by replacing textbooks completely. All students from years 7 to 12 at Danebank Anglican School for Girls in Hurstville will use iPads and e-texts rather than textbooks this year. A spokesman for the NSW Department of Education said he knew of no other schools in the state with this policy. |
