New London students issued laptops |

Students in the New London secondary schools no longer will be using pencils and paper in classrooms. That's because every student in sixth through 12th grade now has access to a 13-inch white Apple Macbook through the school district's 1-to-1 laptop initiative. "These kids have grown up in the digital age," said Scott Kracht, principal of New London Jr./Sr. High School. "We are trying to get more on their level of thinking by bringing in technology they need to be successful." The students can use the computers at school and at home. |
