Maria Villanueva’s eighth-grade Spanish class was silent Tuesday morning but for the rhythmic clicking of nearly two dozen keyboards. Each student typed a paragraph in Spanish into their own laptop and then created a character to read their words back to them so they could hear the language and catch any mistakes.
